Medallia Wins 2016 Glassdoor Employee Choice Award

Medallia Wins 2016 Glassdoor Employee Choice Award

PALO ALTO, Calif. — December 10, 2015 — Medallia, the Global Customer Experience Management (CEM) leader, won a Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Award in the SMB category. The award, which honors the Best Places to work across North America and Europe, relies exclusively on the unsolicited feedback provided by employees about their jobs, work environments and companies through Glassdoor.

Medallia was founded on the premise that with excellent technology and excellent talent, it could help brands everywhere deliver exceptional customer experiences. The company now operates in 14 offices with more than 850 Medallians worldwide. In the last year alone, the employee base increased by 50%.

“I’m privileged to work with a team of people who bring the best versions of themselves to work every day,” said Amy Pressman, co-founder and president of Medallia. “It is because of them that Medallia’s enterprise SaaS platform is helping more than 200 of the world’s best companies across retail, financial services, hospitality, automotive, B2B, telco and countless other industries, to dramatically improve the customer experience. It is an honor to be recognized by Medallians with this award.”

“We have been deliberate about the culture we have created, which is based on enabling people to learn faster through growth mindset and have more fun at work ‒ even on the rare occasion when it’s not fun ‒ by aligning roles with people’s intrinsic motivations. We have cultivated an environment that enables all Medallians to learn, grow and stretch in ways they never dreamed possible,” added Pressman. “As we scale, we continue to invest in our culture. Glassdoor is an extremely valuable resource in getting feedback from our employees, so that we can close the loop and improve.”

On its website, Glassdoor offers a survey for current and former employees of companies worldwide to rate their satisfaction not only with the company overall, but also with key drivers of workplace satisfaction like career opportunities, compensation, benefits, work/life balance, senior management, culture and values. In addition, the survey asks employees to describe the up- and downsides of working at their companies.

This years’ winners in the SMB category were determined based on company reviews submitted between November 3, 2014 and November 1, 2015 for companies with less than 1,000 employees and greater than 25 company reviews from U.S.-based employees during the window of eligibility. The final list is compiled based on Glassdoor’s proprietary algorithm, which assesses quantity, quality and consistency of reviews.
