Scott Davis to lead Sales; Russ Haswell to lead Vertical Markets
PALO ALTO, Calif., October 9, 2012 — Medallia, the global leader in SaaS Customer Experience Management (CEM) solutions, today announced the expansion of its sales organization to capitalize on surging demand for its software platform. The company recently announced Sequoia funding and is in the midst of a record year for revenue growth.
Scott Davis has joined Medallia as Vice President of Sales. Before moving to Medallia, Davis served as Vice President of North America East for BMC Software, where he generated 49% year-over-year growth in the last fiscal year. Previously, he served in sales and business development positions at other billion-dollar enterprise software companies, including Parametric Technology Corporation. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce & Engineering – Finance from Drexel University in Philadelphia.
“Already Scott has attracted top sales talent from some of the best enterprise sales organizations in the world,” said Amy Pressman, President of Medallia, noting that, since joining Medallia in June, Davis has grown the sales team by 500%. “Under Scott’s leadership, the expanded team will help us realize our full potential in new geographies and markets.”
“The customer experience management market is increasingly becoming an executive focus, investments are growing, and Medallia is in the best position to win,” said Davis. “We have a clear lead in technology, the most iconic customers, and a best-in-class renewal rate. I’m thrilled to join the organization.”
Russ Haswell, who ran Medallia’s Sales team for the last six years, will assume a vertical role, offering industry-specific strategic guidance to customers.
“Vertical expertise has long existed within Medallia; our customer base spans nearly every industry,” said Pressman. “We want to facilitate customer access to that in-house expertise with a more formal vertical organization, and Russ is the obvious choice to lead it. He has amassed deep knowledge of industry-specific programs and best practices.”
Prior to joining Medallia, Haswell served as the head of global sales for CustomerSat, Inc. He is a graduate of California State University at Chico.
