Sales Enablement Manager – Product and Solutions

The Sales Team at Medallia is unique in two distinct ways…First, while it’s common for SaaS sales reps to sell into prospect IT departments, our reps are routinely interfacing with top tier executives and the C-Suite. The need for strong executive presence requires our reps to strengthen their overall business acumen and tailor their message to various buyer types.Second, a Medallia sales cycle is a team sale. A successful sales cycle not only demands that our frontline reps are on point with their messaging but also requires collaboration with other members of our sales ecosystem. So the scope of our work extends beyond our field sales team and stretches to enable our entire sales ecosystem.So how does Sales Enablement fit into the picture? We’re relentlessly focused on driving revenue for our company by increasing sales productivity. We do that by educating our field sales organization through skill building programs, online enablement tools, and comprehensive documentation to ensure that they ramp efficiently and experience consistent success over time.Our team is small in number but mighty in impact. We’re looking for someone that can not only design and manage world class learning programs but isn’t shy to get scrappy and roll up their sleeves when the business demands that we quickly execute as well.
THE ROLE: Sales Enablement plays a critical role in the success of our sales team. We own all learning touch points across our sales team members’ journeys at Medallia. We provide the skill building programs, online enablement tools, and comprehensive documentation to ensure success at the moments that matter. This role will be responsible for developing enablement content and processes around what we sell (our products and solutions), incorporating how we sell it (our sales process and methodology). For product and solution enablement, you would be working with our Product and Product Marketing teams to create enablement collateral that enables the field on new capabilities and features. You will partner with the Product Marketing team to define and manage the creation of required content and documentation to support the product changes. Your responsibility would be to then translate and align that content into enablement materials that support knowledge and skills development and reinforces our sales methodology and processes , using a variety of delivery mechanisms.
•Creation of the Product and Solution training curriculum
•Work closely with Product Marketing and SME’s to ensure new training programs fit within our overall sales approach, enablement roadmap, and desired content catalog
•Partner with content SMEs within and outside of the Sales Org to quickly understand learning gaps, collect best practices, design learning solutions, and deliver those programs to address the gaps    
•Evaluate the effectiveness of the enablement programs you create in relation to our team and business goals
•Develop enablement materials in various formats including in-person, group calls, video, online learning paths, and static documentation
•Facilitate productive cross-team and cross-department relationships

Required Qualifications

  • BS required
  • Minimum 3years experience in sales enablement or product marketing
  • Proven track record of instructional design and delivery success 
  • Experience supporting learning for a global organization
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Passion for delivering high quality and high impact work.
  • Effective cross-functional collaborator with an ability to cultivate relationships with executive stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel-25%

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong familiarity with learning software and platforms (i.e. LMS, Quiz Dev, eLearning Development, Video and Podcast Recording, Editing)
  • Experience at high-growth SaaS company
