Leslie Stretch Joins More Than 600 Global CEOs in Landmark Diversity & Inclusion Commitment

Medallia: Leslie Stretch - Landmark Diversity & Inclusion Commitment

Medallia CEO Leslie Stretch has signed onto the CEO Action for Diversity & InclusionTM, the largest CEO-driven business commitment to advance diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

This unique and collaborative group of more than 600 CEOs of the world’s leading companies has agreed to take action to cultivate workplaces where different points of view are welcomed, and employees feel encouraged to discuss tough issues. The initiative was driven by a realization that addressing diversity and inclusion is not a competitive issue, it’s a societal issue that CEOs can play a critical role in addressing.

Here’s how Medallia is living each of the CEO Action pledge commitments:

#1: Continue to cultivate workplaces that support open dialogue on complex, and sometimes difficult, conversations about diversity and inclusion.

Medallians are encouraged to discuss important topics like diversity and inclusion. Through our Employee Resource Groups Medallians use their voices to share ideas, host events, develop as professionals, and give back to our community. Medallia has also made our premises available for hosting conferences, student groups, panels and other events on diversity and inclusion topics.

We seek to promote an environment of openness by participating in, and openly sharing the results from corporate benchmarking programs like the Corporate Equality Index, to McKinsey and Lean In’s Women in the Workplace report.

#2: Implement and expand unconscious bias education.

Medallia has offered Unconscious Bias trainings since 2015 in offices around the globe, and have made available self-learning modules and educational toolkits. Beginning in 2018, we expanded our Unconscious Bias training to include a new module, Speaking Up for a Culture of Belonging. Our Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DIBs)  practice has also engaged our ecosystem on this topic, including sharing our internal Unconscious Bias workshop with our customers, prospects, and partners.

Most recently, the DIBs team has been busy evaluating new methods for delivering Unconscious Bias trainings — including more experiential and modern solutions, multimedia and immersive virtual reality experiences.

#3: Share best known—and unsuccessful—actions.

In addition to taking the CEO Action pledge, we are proud to share our partnerships with Year Up, a talent partner we’ve engaged since 2017, and Syndio, our pay equity analysis platform. You can read more about these actions on the CEO Action site.
