Medallia Hosts Another Successful Conference
MENLO PARK, CA—March 6, 2006—For the second time, Medallia brought together the nation’s leading hospitality companies for a three-day Best Practices Conference.
Held at The Enchantment Resort in Sedona, AZ in March 2006, the information-packed program allowed industry executives from the nation’s largest hotel companies to participate in dialogues and interactive sessions. In keeping with the information exchange nature of the conference, the sessions were attended by both Medallia clients and companies that are not Medallia clients.
“It was very important to us,” said Elizabeth Carducci, Medallia vice president, “to include industry leaders, not just clients”. While we number among our clients companies that own and operate more than 60 percent of the hotel rooms in the U.S., we recognize that the value of a Best Practices Conference is in allowing executives to sit down and talk with people who think all day long about the same things they do.
“This can only be achieved in a limited-attendance environment,” she said. In addition to presentations by Medallia executives, attendees had the opportunity to hear keynote talks by senior executives from Hilton Hotels and Carlson Hotels Worldwide.
First held in 2004 at West Virginia’s Greenbrier Resort, the conference has drawn enthusiastic praise from invitees. Said one participant of the 2004 meeting, “I’ve never been to a conference like this, where people are so open to discussing their strengths and weaknesses.”
The comments from 2006 participants reflected similar sentiments:
I also liked the ability to informally chat with other hotel companies about topics on my mind.
It is the only forum where I can be with others facing the same challenges as I do.
Session topics addressed today’s most pressing issues in customer feedback management. The 2006 agenda included:
- Best Practices in Competitive Benchmarking
- Trends and Opportunities in Online Data Collection
- Hospitality Industry Trends
Medallia will host a 2007 Conference at Sea Island, GA.
