Medallia Announces 2007 Paid Internship Program
MENLO PARK, CA—March 21, 2007—Medallia, a leading provider of feedback solutions for service industries, including hospitality, fitness, retail, health care, high technology, and financial services, today announced for the third consecutive year that it would be offering compensated internships for programmers to work in its Oslo and Menlo Park, CA offices.
The internships will be awarded based on:
- Successful completion of a mini-programming challenge
- Resume
- Transcripts and
- Interviews
“At Medallia, we are all about performance,” said Borge Hald, co-founder and chief executive officer. “We have earned a global reputation for the quality of our technology and the talent of our engineering team. We are looking for individuals who have superior skills, an entrepreneurial nature, and a desire to work with a great team.”
Interns will have the choice of working in either Menlo Park or Oslo for the length of their 8- to 10-week internships, which begin June 18, 2007.
Over the years, more than 80 percent of interns have been offered full-time positions with the Company.
More than half of Medallia’s current programmers have been recognized in international programming competitions. In 2006, four engineers were among 48 finalists selected to compete in the TopCoder’s World Championship Open, having survived five preliminary rounds of competitive problem-solving. Earlier, Medallia programmers won two gold and two silver medals in the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) World Championships.
“Because we are an entrepreneurial company,” said Hald, ”we provide an ideal atmosphere for our interns to work alongside our skilled staff. The strength of our global programming team is the bedrock of our continued success.”
The deadline for applying for a summer internship has been extended to April 23, 2007. More information can be obtained from the company’s website: www.medallia.com/careers.
“The caliber of our programmers both in Silicon Valley and Europe is outstanding,” said Juan Pablo Dellarroquelle, lead engineer. “Interns get the invaluable opportunity to work alongside a dynamic international group.”
Said Øyvind Grotmol, head of the Company’s Oslo office: “Unlike many firms that have offices outside the U.S., our Oslo office is an integral part of our engineering effort. We are a key part of product development, not simply a satellite office engaged in localization of products developed elsewhere.”
