Role
Develop, implement and manage Medallia’s communication program.
Responsibilities
- Translate corporate positioning into messaging. Disseminate key messages through various internal and external communications.
- Develop a messaging platform that describes Medallia in multiple ways (goal/mission, business benefits, operational benefits, functional benefits, supporting evidence, etc.). The platform should address: the content to be communicated; the medium and format in which content will be packaged; and the frequency with which content will be distributed to various audiences.
- Identify and implement an effective marketing communications infrastructure, such as content management system, that allows company to track and optimize usage of various marketing assets.
- Work with various internal content owners to develop a portfolio of marketing collateral and sales tools.
- Design a successful customer reference program, including scope and strategy. Work with other internal departments to implement it.
- Develop and manage visual elements of brand (style guide, templates, etc.).
- Develop and execute company’s events strategy (speaking, sponsorship, and attendance).
- Create and execute an awards program to showcase the company’s leadership and customer traction.
- Manage and track the company’s social networking strategy across Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, blogs, etc.
- Evaluate marketing effectiveness by tracking marketing-related stats and analyzing them for trends.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelors’s degree required.
Experience
- At least 5-8 years of general marketing, marketing communications, and corporate marketing experience in relevant technology companies
- PR experience, especially experience developing PR and messaging strategies, a strong plus
- Experience with both “startup” and mid-large sized firms

- Strong interest in developing content and messaging
- Creative thinker and communicator who enjoys exploring ways to go beyond conventional marketing
- Must be able to demonstrate:
