Big Growth.
Big Opportunity.

We are a fast-growing, profitable, privately held technology company located in the heart of Silicon Valley. We provide Software as a Service (SaaS) based solutions to Global 2000 companies. More than 50,000 businesses and business units use our products to gather, analyze, and act on feedback from customers, partners, and employees. We aspire to play a critical role in helping companies and their employees deliver great experiences to their customers with every interaction, across every industry. We work with some of the most admired companies in the financial, hospitality, retail, technology, and manufacturing sectors. Our customers delivered more than 400 million survey pages using Medallia in 2009 alone. By adopting Medallia’s products, companies can better understand and adapt to customer needs. More satisfied and loyal customers, in turn, help generate better business results. In fact, measured in terms of market capitalization, publicly-traded Medallia customers have outperformed the S&P 500 10 times since 2003 and 4 times since 2008.

What’s the Big Deal?

In the past, companies relied on gathering feedback from a select sample through expensive and slow market research studies. The results were hard to translate into useful information for employees on the frontlines, where customer experience matters most. Medallia’s Customer Experience Management (CEM) solution allows users to collect, analyze, and act on feedback from 100% of customers in real time. Just as email has changed the way we communicate with one another, CEM has the potential to redefine the multibillion-dollar market research market.

Medallia is poised to play an important role at the convergence of two of the most exciting phenomena in the industry: on- demand SaaS applications delivered from the cloud, and social media. Already, analyst firm Gartner is predicting annual double-digit growth in the CEM space for the next five years, while many industry sectors are expecting flat to single-digit growth. In much the same way that many software companies have become household names in recent years by transforming how businesses interact, analyze, and manage their customer relationships, Medallia is aiming to revolutionize CEM.

No matter what our backgrounds, we make interesting officemates.
And we are really nice people.

The culture is easy to like.

Words like “open,” “egalitarian,” “honest,” and “smart” come to mind when people here describe the company culture.

Boldly go where no one has gone before.

Innovation is in our DNA. You will have the opportunity to develop edgy new products that millions of people will find useful. Just to share a few examples, we use specialized algorithms to develop sophisticated analytic capability to understand customer data at a qualitative and quantitative level, and we incorporate social media and the latest advances in mobile technology to collect and disseminate customer information.

Why Work at Medallia

We are a different kind of company, in a good way.

We are not a conventional company, and we don’t intend to become one. We share attributes with the world’s most successful organizations, many of which are our clients. We focus on innovation and on hiring the most talented people. We have a flat organization in which new hires and executives have the same platform to share their ideas. We nurture a collaborative, intellectual, and positive environment by hiring people who share our beliefs about creating the best CEM solutions to help businesses become better. And we have a great time doing it.

Nearly 100% of people who work at Medallia are graduates of the top engineering universities and business schools in the world.

Many graduated with top academic honors and distinctions. You may find yourself working with fellow members of Phi Beta Kappa and Tau Beta Pi.

Work and play are not mutually exclusive.

We’ve created a fun and relaxed workspace you’ll be glad to be a part of. It is possible to code or work on a project, then take a break to throw some darts, play a round of chess, or chase a few of your fellow colleagues around with a Nerf gun. We also have many fun social activities, ranging from annual ski trips to regular company-wide social bashes to soccer games. At Medallia, there is such a thing as a free lunch. In addition, a well-stocked kitchen with healthy organic food and snacks takes care of our cravings throughout the day. Medallia’s main office is conveniently located next to the Menlo Park Caltrain station; many of us commute from San Francisco or bike to work.

We hire inspiring people you will like working with.

Medallia employees are an impressive group of overachievers.

A company that cares about its people and the community.

We do our part to make the world a better place

With millions of surveys every month, Medallia has become an important part of many companies’ core operations.
